About Noona

Greetings all you lovely denizens of the Asian Drama blogverse!

I've been debating moving my blog for awhile now (yes I know it isn't even a month old yet!), and finally decided to make the move last night.  Why you ask?  Well I've had some issues with spam comments and spam sites affecting the page and it has cause some frustration.  Additionally, blogger and I at times don't see eye to eye and it takes so much longer to get a post or page to look how I want it.  I'd rather spend time writing blog posts or reviews or watching dramas than struggling with blogger.  Also, my story Heart Murmurs is house elsewhere already because blogger wouldn't present the story as I wanted it viewed.  So with some helpful advice from Kfangurl and DDee over at The Fangirl Verdict I made the choice to move.

The new site is a copy of what I currently have here.  I was expecting a battle with blogger to export my information.  In actuality it was extremely easy!  Which was fantastic.  I won't be updating this page anymore.  Please, please, please come and join me at my new home!

The Drama Noona

I’m not sure if there is a common picture out there of the type of person who watches K-Dramas with obsessive intensity.  If there is this image of a K-Drama Addict I probably am as far from that picture as you can get.

Right now I’m a full time mom, wife, and have a full time job.  Life is hectic and busy and crazy, but I’m happy and really couldn’t ask for anything more.  My son just turned five and is both a precious gift and a rambunctious monster, which I cannot imagine my life without.  My husband is a stay at home dad and part time illustrator; we’ve been married for fifteen years.

I’ve never been a fan of the Romance Genre, whether that is in books or movies, it just isn’t really my cup of tea.  There are exceptions and all of them are anything based off of Jane Austin or Charlotte Bronte.  That really covers any Romance I have ever enjoyed.  My usual genres for books/movies/games/etc are Action, Martial Arts, Crime Dramas, Science Fiction, and Fantasy.  I’m a Geek and proud of it.  I collect comic books, play video games on several platforms, play and run table top role-play campaigns (think Dungeons & Dragons), write books/poems, and role-play in a text based fashion on several websites.  My son is named after a character in Lord of the Rings and a Super Villain.  My family and friends describe me as a Tom-Boy and I’m proud of that.

At a glance I’m not a person who you’d think would fall head over heels in love with Korean Dramas.  But here I am anyway, absolutely addicted.

I hope that we can have many conversations, moments of squee, and engaging conversations about drama!
